- Where can I renew my membership?
You can renew your membership by clicking here, or by going to our "Become a Member" tab (Desktop- on the top of your screen OR Phone- the top left drop down menu)
- I'm interested in filling a vacant position on the board, what do I do?
We are thrilled you are willing to join a board of motivated professionals! Please email your inquiry to "president@nvrid.org" and we will be in contact soon!
- I just graduated! Which membership category do I fall into?
Congrats to all recent graduates! NVRID is excited to support you! If you are working on completing your degree, you are under Student Level Membership still. If you are now all done with classes for your degree, you are now an Associate Level Member!
- Why isn't "nvrid.org" working anymore?
Nevada Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf is committed to providing support to the interpreting and Deaf/Hard of Hearing communities here in Nevada. In efforts to align with this mission, we decided that cutting costs on a WebHosting platform was a no-brainer! We are trying to steer away from payment platforms that charge our members fees and have switched to a membership/event manager called Zeffy. These 2 changes upgrades will save NVRID and its members an annual amount of at least $1,500.00-- That's some serious dough that can be used to support great causes!
- When will "nvrid.org" work again?
We are working diligently in trying to transfer our beloved domain to our new site. We will update all of our contacts when we have more answers! Thank you all for understanding.
- How can I get involved with NVRID? I want to volunteer, but not be on the board... can I do that?
We are thrilled you are considering giving your time to volunteer with NVRID. We are always looking for volunteers and are grateful for any time/help your busy schedule allows.
Maybe you are interested in presenting a workshop? That would be wonderful! Or, perhaps you know of a space that would like to support local non-profits at a discounted rate. We would love to know!
The PDC, Professional Development Committee, meets frequently and is a committee dedicated to setting up and planning professional development events!
Our Scholarships committee is always looking for folks to join and offer new insights and ideas to better serve our members.
- I am looking for a mentor. Does NVRID help with that?
NVRID would love to provide a space for Provisional Community/Educational License holders with the NV Interpreter/CART Registry to receive mentoring from peers. Please express your interest by either emailing "PDC@nvrid.org" OR "treasurer@nvrid.org".
- How can I share resources with NVRID to add to the website?
Do you notice there are some awesome resources missing from NVRID's website? LET US KNOW! We would love to add anything that will be of benefit to our community and membership!
